The emergence of the "Ukraine-NATO Council" format will help increase the effectiveness of our country's interaction with the North Atlantic Alliance.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said this, reports Military Media Center.
It is expected that the "Ukraine-NATO Council" will be replaced by a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission at the level of defense ministers. The last meeting was held last week in Brussels.
"I believe that it will happen and, I think, it will be announced at the summit in Vilnius," the minister noted.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, within the framework of the new format, Ukraine will sit at the table with the members of the Alliance on equal terms and will be able to:
raise important issues and include them in the agenda;
participate in the work of subcommittees and subcommittees.
In particular, Ukraine will be able to participate in at least two annual meetings at the level of defense ministers of NATO countries.
"This adds much more subjectivity, which, accordingly, will give us the opportunity to be more effective in cooperation with NATO," Reznikov emphasized

The creation of a new format of the "Ukraine-NATO Council" in the North Atlantic Alliance was discussed very recently. It should replace the Ukraine-NATO Commission and give Kyiv a wider range of opportunities.
