US President Joe Biden announced progress in restoring US-China relations after Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's visit to China, during which he held talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

 This is reported by Bloomberg.

"He (Blinken. - Ed.) has done a tremendous job. We are on the right track," said the American president.

Asked if he felt the US had made progress, Biden said "it has."

It will be recalled that Anthony Blinken arrived on a visit to China on Sunday, June 18. The State Secretary previously held talks with Foreign Minister Qin Gan, which the State Department called "meaningful and constructive."

The next day, Blinken met with Xi Jinping. The talks were the first meeting of this level between the US and China since 2018.

After the meeting, Blinken said that Beijing confirmed not to provide military assistance to Russia in the framework of a full-scale war against Ukraine.
