"Just last day, nuclear generation produced almost half of the consumed electricity, the power system operates with a capacity reserve. The generation fully covers the needs of consumers," the Ministry of Energy reported.
The most extensive repair campaign in the energy sector since independence is underway, which takes place in preparation for the new heating season.
Consequences of blowing up the Kakhovskaya HPP dam
Hydro generation is reportedly producing less electricity than planned. "Dniproges-1 and Dniproges-2 are operating with limitations. Ukrhydroenergo specialists, together with experts from the Ministry of Energy, are looking for technical solutions that will ensure the stable operation of these stations in conditions of reduced water levels. Other stations of the Dnipro Cascade are operating as scheduled," the message says.
In the south of the country, the fixing and liquidation of the consequences of the flood caused by the detonation of the dam continues. Energy experts in the Kherson region asked 2 settlements and more than 800 consumers who were disconnected due to flooding. In Mykolaivska - more than 600 consumers were asked, 2 settlements completely, 2 - partially.
In general, in the Mykolaiv region due to flooding, 1 settlement is completely and 7 - partially, and in the Kherson region - 4 settlements remain without power. More than 14,000 consumers are without electricity in the city of Kherson.
The situation in the frontline regions
Damage to the energy infrastructure due to shelling was recorded in the Donetsk and Sumy regions. In the Kharkiv region, distribution networks were damaged due to shelling - more than 9,000 consumers were left without electricity.
Due to previous shelling, some consumers in Kherson, Zaporizhzhуa, and Chernihiv regions remain without electricity. Energy workers work where the security situation allows. In a day, it was possible to restore electricity to almost 5 thousand consumers. Most of them are subscribers in Sumy and Kherson regions.

An accident with fatal consequences occurred in the Lviv region.
