Russia has frozen the accounts of diplomatic missions of Finland

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland announced that Russia had frozen the accounts of Finnish diplomatic missions in the country.

 This was reported in the Finnish mass media.

 Helsingin Sanomat was the first to report that it had received confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland about the freezing of accounts. In addition to the Finnish embassy in Moscow, Finland has a Consulate General in St. Petersburg.

 Finland contacted the Russian authorities on this matter, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the publication. "The situation is serious, and the matter is being investigated," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

 Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland confirmed this information to the Finnish broadcaster Yle.

 In April, it was reported that envelopes containing an unknown white powder were sent to the Finnish embassy in Moscow.

 Later in May, Russia was outraged by the attack on its consulate in Finland.
