The President of Serbia Oleksandr Vucic said that after the vote in the Council of Europe on the issue of Kosovo, his country's best friends in the future will be Georgia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Hungary, Romania and Spain.

Previously, Belgrade demanded changes to the resolution of the Council of Europe, which concerns the support of the territorial integrity of Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova. In particular, Serbia demands that the words "and all other member states of the Council of Europe" be added to the text of the resolution.

"They say that they protect the integrity of Moldova, Georgia, and we added an amendment respecting the territorial integrity of all other Council of Europe countries. If they do not agree, I will not go to Reykjavik for the summit. Obviously, there are no principles. I tell them straight to their face that we were deceived," said the Serbian president.

According to the Public Broadcaster of Georgia, last month the Council of Europe decided to start the procedure for considering Kosovo's application for membership. Georgia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Romania and Spain did not support the resolution. It was also opposed by Hungary, which officially recognized Kosovo. Ukraine, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, abstained during the vote.

The 4th summit in the history of the Council of Europe will be held on May 16-17 in Reykjavík. Earlier, Prime Minister of Iceland Katrin Jakobsdóttir said that the main topic of the summit will be the Ukrainian issue.
