In the sky over Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 35 out of 35 enemy drones. This was reported in the General Staff.
"On the night of May 8, 2023, the enemy attacked the territory of Ukraine again, using Iranian attack UAVs "Shahed". 35 out of 35 drones were destroyed by our defenders," the message reads.
The General Staff also noted that last day the Russian Federation launched 16 missile strikes, in particular on the cities of Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.
In addition, 61 airstrikes and 52 enemy attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas were recorded.
It is reported that there are dead and wounded among the civilian population, damaged high-rise building, private houses and other civilian infrastructure.
In Kyiv, UAV wreckage fell on a two-story building and an airport runway.
