The White House called Russia's accusations that the US instructed Ukraine to carry out a drone attack on the Kremlin "ridiculous".
This was stated by John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications of the US National Security Council, CNN reports.
Kirby made the statement after Russian President Dmitry Peskov's press secretary claimed without evidence that the US was behind the drone attack on the Kremlin and added that the Ukrainian government was allegedly "carrying out Washington's decision".
The day before, the press service of the Kremlin announced that Ukrainian drones "tried to strike" the Kremlin residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin called the attack a "planned terrorist action" and "an attempt on the President of Russia."
The press secretary of President Zelenskyi, Serhii Nikiforov, said that Ukraine has no information about the so-called night attacks on the Kremlin.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in the context of this attack that he would take everything coming out of the Kremlin "with great caution."
