Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, speaking at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), addressed former US President Donald Trump. Orban is sure that there would be no war in Ukraine under Trump.
"If President Trump was president, there would be no war in Ukraine or in Europe. Mr. President, Mr. Trump, come back, return America to its former greatness, return the world to us!" Orbán declared.
Trump previously said that the "terrible events" in Ukraine would not have happened if he had been president. In March of this year, speaking at a rally in Texas, he promised to end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.
In November 2022, Trump announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States from the Republican Party in the 2024 election. Only one president in US history (Grover Cleveland) was elected to a second term after a four-year break. It happened in 1893.
