A student of the seventh grade of Vladislav Rybnikar elementary school in Belgrade is suspected of having opened fire with a gun on guards, a teacher and students this morning.
This is reported by the Serbian mass media.
Police sent all available patrols to a school in the center of the Serbian capital and arrested a suspected juvenile seventh-grader who is believed to have fired several shots from his father's gun at the school's students and security.
Currently, the provision of medical aid to the injured is ongoing, as well as the work of the police to establish all the facts and circumstances related to this event.
According to the RTS television and radio company, three students were seriously injured and taken to the hospital. A teacher was also injured. Separate Serbian mass media also reported on the death of a security guard as a result of the shooting.
At the same time, according to unconfirmed data from the portals B92 and Vecernje Novosti, the seventh-grader killed at least seven people.
According to their information, the schoolboy was under the influence of drugs. It is reported that until now he was known as an exemplary student, a child from a family of health care workers.
Minister of Education Branko Ružych also arrived at the scene of the shooting. Children were evacuated from the school.
