On the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers managed to achieve parity in artillery thanks to the accuracy of their work.
This was said by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces Serhiy Cherevaty on the "Ukraine 24" broadcast.
As Cherevaty noted, the enemy still has a mathematical advantage in artillery, but our soldiers continue to work as accurately as possible.
"We are, roughly speaking, on an artillery diet... Our gunners and rocket launchers are used to this, so they are as accurate as possible, as much as possible comparing targets with the data of drones and trying to hit them. And in fact, they achieve parity by hitting targets qualitatively." - said the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces.
According to Cherevaty, the artillery in the Eastern direction is the main player, since the enemy's aviation cannot fully operate due to the air defense of our soldiers and cannot create a significant advantage for the occupiers.
As the spokesman of the Eastern Group noted, the enemy also increased fire strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian military last day. In total, 1,145 shellings from artillery of various calibers and MLRS were recorded in the Eastern operational zone.
In the Bakhmut direction, the following was recorded:
31 combat clashes;
452 shellings;
5 air strikes;
125 occupiers were killed, 130 were wounded;
2 Russian guns were destroyed;
2 Orlan-10 drones were destroyed;
three field warehouses were destroyed.
On the Lymansko-Kupyansk direction, the following was recorded:
560 shellings;
7 combat encounters;
32 occupiers were destroyed, 82 were wounded;
2 mortars were destroyed;
2 guns destroyed;
the "Murom-S" complex was destroyed.
As Cherevaty noted, Bakhmut became almost uninhabitable due to significant destruction. Also, there are still civilians in the city, but it is difficult to evacuate them due to hostilities.
