Russia's defeat is a guarantee of normal life for Europe. The security of the latter depends on the speed and volume of the supply of weapons and ammunition to our soldiers to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine and a just peace.
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba during the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU, writes the press service of the ministry.
"Russia's defeat is a guarantee of a normal life for Europe. There is no more important task now. To achieve it, Ukraine needs more weapons and ammunition, and all this must be delivered as soon as possible," the minister said.
As Kuleba noted, the side that has the best logistics has the highest chances of victory, therefore the EU should speed up supplies to our soldiers to ensure Ukraine's decisive advantage on the battlefield.
"We have a common strategic goal: to ensure peace in Europe for future generations. This goal now depends on the speed of your decisions and their implementation. Let's remove all paper walls. Let's overcome all procedural obstacles. Let's speed up every process. Let's destroy any delays on the way between the decision to provide weapons and their arrival at the border of Ukraine," Kuleba added during the address.
In particular, the minister listed short-term, medium-term and long-term military needs:
in the short term
More armored vehicles, tanks, artillery systems, long-range artillery and ammunition. It is important to strengthen the air defense of Ukraine, to integrate it with the neighboring EU countries, as well as to make it possible to provide Ukraine with combat aircraft and immediately start training Ukrainian pilots on the F-16;
in the medium term
Increase the throughput capacity of logistics and repair hubs, continue and expand training programs for the Ukrainian military, increase ammunition production and cover the needs of the Armed Forces;
in the long run
Focus on the development of a joint defense policy that will include Ukraine as an integral component.
