Slovakia has already handed over all 13 promised MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of the country officially informed.
"Slovakia has already handed over all 13 declared MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. After four units... the remaining 9 units were also successfully handed over to Ukrainian forces," the message says.
The Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic, Jaroslav Nagy, noted that the MiG-29 aircraft are a significant support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian military aggression and the protection of human lives. "Besides, unlike our neighbor, these planes were unused for us. We are doing the right thing," the minister said.
Poland announced the transfer of 8 MIG-29s to Ukraine and that the countries could transfer six more fighters to Ukraine.
