At the spring plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which will be held in Strasbourg on April 24-28, urgent debates will be held, which will concern, in particular, the forced removal of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation.
This was reported in the press service of the Council of Europe.
The topic of the debate is "The situation of Ukrainian civilians, including children, who were forcibly relocated to the Russian Federation or to Ukrainian territories under the actual control of the Russian Federation."

It is reported that the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska will be present at the debate in Strasbourg.
There is still no information on the PACE website on which day the debate will take place.
The Assembly will also discuss a report on policy strategies for disaster prevention, preparedness and response following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatovych will present his annual activity report for 2022, and Council of Europe Secretary General Maria Pejchynovych-Buric will conduct an hour of questions.
Among other topics for discussion are the implementation of decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, the European Convention on Human Rights and national constitutions, youth and mass media, as well as the protection of democracy, rights and the environment in international trade.
Finally, the Assembly will assess the functioning of the Partnership for Democracy status and consider San Marino's fulfillment of its obligations regarding membership of the Council of Europe.
