The Verkhovna Rada is proposed to terminate the agreement between Ukraine and Belarus on the protection of state secrets. The initiator of the bill is President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

 This is reported in the bill card No. 0197.

 The draft law on the termination of the agreement between Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus on mutual protection of state secrets will be registered in the parliament on Wednesday, April 12. The text of the document has not yet appeared on the VRU website.

 It should be noted that the agreement on the protection of state secrets between Ukraine and Belarus was signed in Kyiv on February 19, 2004. The Verkhovna Rada ratified the document in October 2005.

 The agreement establishes that it is in the interests of both countries to ensure the protection of state secrets transferred and received in the process of bilateral cooperation.
