Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will visit the United States this week. In particular, he plans to hold negotiations with representatives of the American defense industry.
This was reported by the Office of the Prime Minister of Poland.
According to the agency, during the visit on April 11-13, Morawiecki will meet with US Vice President Kamala Harris. It is planned that they will discuss issues of bilateral economic cooperation and topics related to the sphere of security.
"Another important event of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's visit to the USA will be meetings with representatives of the American military industry. The technologies developed by American military structures are among the most advanced in the world," the office notes.
They reminded that in 2023, 4% of GDP was expected to be spent on the defense sector in Poland. In particular, the funds will be used to purchase American Abrams tanks and F-35 fighters.
It will be recalled that earlier it became known that in April this year Poland will receive 116 Abrams tanks from the USA.
