The EU has planned the terms of discussion of the next package of anti-Russian sanctions in connection with the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

This was learned by Politico from its own sources.

According to three European diplomats, Brussels is planning a new round of discussions between the European Commission and EU ambassadors on the 11th package of sanctions after Easter, which is celebrated on April 9 in the Western tradition.

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, previously stated that the next package will focus on combating sanctions evasion and eliminating loopholes.

The day before, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyі discussed the need to prepare the 11th package of sanctions against Russia in a telephone conversation with von der Leyen.

The European Commission is also preparing a new legal document that will allow imposing sanctions on family members of famous Russian oligarchs. Poland and the Baltic states, which are at the vanguard of EU sanctions, proposed a similar scheme in February.
