Finnish President Sauli Niiniste will pay a working visit to Turkey on Thursday and Friday, the main topic of which will be Ankara's approval of Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO.

Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto is also traveling with the president. At the beginning of the visit, on Thursday, they will go to the regions in the southeast of the country, which were affected by strong earthquakes on February 6.
A meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled for Friday. During it, they will discuss aid for the recovery of the affected regions, the geopolitical situation and the situation with the ratification of the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO.
