UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is going to Ukraine to meet with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyі. As reported by the press secretary of the General Secretary Stefan Dujarric, Guterres has now arrived in Poland, from where he will go to Kyiv.

"The Secretary General has just arrived in Poland on his way to Ukraine. On Wednesday morning, he will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv to discuss the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative in all its aspects, as well as other pressing issues," the release states.

It is noted that this is the third visit of the Secretary General to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Guterres will return to UN headquarters in New York on Thursday afternoon.

In January, UN Secretary General António Guterres said that he is not sure that Russia's war against Ukraine will be ended in the near future.

Guterres also stated that he is ready to act as a mediator in the Russian-Ukrainian war, if both sides ask for it.
