The competitive commission for the selection of the NABU director selected three candidates for this position. Now the winner must be chosen by the Cabinet of Ministers.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, which published the results of the commission's vote.

"The task of the commission was to evaluate the integrity, professional experience, knowledge and qualities of the candidates in order to determine the three finalists. To ensure a transparent and fair approach to the selection of the new Director of NABU and to serve as an independent arbiter for the participants of the competition," the message reads.

In particular, at the first stage of document collection, 78 packages of documents were received, processed for compliance with the requirements of the competition, and 74 candidates were admitted to the next stage.

At the same time, the second stage consisted of a series of tests, such as testing for knowledge of legislation and general abilities and skills, assessment of personal competencies and performance of a practical task.

After that, according to the results of all the tests and practical tasks, 21 candidates remained at the third stage.

The final stage included an interview for integrity and professional competence. As a result, the commission selected the three best candidates.

As reported in the competition commission, the candidates from among whom the Cabinet of Ministers will choose the director of NABU were:

 Serhii Hupyak

 Kryvonos Semen

 Roman Osypchuk

It is known that Serhii Gupyak is the head of the 4th investigative department of the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation in Khmelnytskyi, and before the SBI he worked in the prosecutor's office.

Semen Kryvonos - head of the State Inspection of Architecture and Urban Planning. In 2016, he became the winner of the competition for the head of the Odesa territorial branch of NABU, but resigned from the position after the scandal involving the declaration of assets.

Roman Osypchuk heads the Department of Internal Control of NABU, and in 2004-2015 he worked in the units of the State Service for Combating Economic Crime of the Departments of Internal Affairs in Luhansk and Kyiv regions.

We would like to remind you that since April 2022 NABU will not have a permanent head after the end of the mandate of the former head of the department, Artem Sytnyk. Currently, his first deputy is Gizo Uhlava.

In addition, recently the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that the new director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine can be appointed as early as next week.
