President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the head of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola in Lviv. Based on the results, he again repeated the message not to delay the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU and to start them this year.
"I met with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, in Lviv," Zelenskyi said on social media.
He thanked for the leadership in supporting Ukraine since the first days of this terrible war and the important decisions made by the European Parliament. In particular, on March 1 last year, the second day after submitting our application for EU membership, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on support and the need to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership.
"Ukraine aims to complete the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission as soon as possible and start negotiations on joining the EU this year," he emphasized.
