Russia will not resume participation in the nuclear arms control treaty with the United States unless Washington listens to Moscow's position.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmytro Peskov, Sky News reports.

He stated that the "attitude of the collective West" towards Russia, led by the USA, must change.

"The security of one country cannot be ensured at the expense of the security of another," said Putin's spokesman.

Peskov added that NATO's support of Ukraine with ammunition means that it "acts as a single block no longer as our conventional opponents, but as enemies."

It will be recalled that previously the US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Mallory Stewart, stated that Russia's suspension of participation in the key nuclear arms control treaty has not yet entered into force.

Earlier, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation adopted a law on the suspension of participation in the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Weapons. Putin said that Russia should understand what NATO countries such as France and Britain claim, and how an aggressor country will take into account their strategic arsenals.

In addition, France and Britain expressed concern about Russia's withdrawal from the CSTO.
