Ukraine cannot hold talks with the Russian Federation now, because there is no one to talk to there.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, stated this during a press conference.
When asked by a journalist whether Zelenskyі would take part in negotiations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin if Turkish President Recep Erdogan had prepared such a meeting in Ankara, the Ukrainian president said that it is currently impossible.
"I just spoke with Erdogan. We had a good talk... He knows my position on what you said. I don't accept it. He knows my position, we talked about it even before the war. I told him - put Putin in jail the negotiating table, the risk of full-scale war cannot be allowed. But he couldn't do it, and not only him. And now he thinks he can. Now we can't. He's not the same person (talking about Putin - ed.). There there is no one to talk to," Zelenskyі emphasized.
We will remind you that today the President of Ukraine called Russia a condition for starting the search for a format for a diplomatic end to the war.
