Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe: support for Ukraine and the tribunal for Russia will be a priority at the summit in Reykjavik

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland, head of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe Tordis Kolbrun Reykfjörður Gilfadóttir said that Ukraine and its support, as well as bringing Russia to justice, will be a priority at the summit, which will take place in May in Reykjavík.

She noted that preparations for the summit are currently underway.

One of our priorities is to work to hold the Russian Federation accountable for their actions. And this is extremely important and is our priority. And Ukraine will be at the center of the summit of our leaders in Reykjavik," the politician said.

She emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine as long as it is needed.

"And we need to listen very carefully when the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian government ask for concrete support. You know that there is unity when it comes to Ukraine, but we have to support, whatever it costs. Ukraine must win! This is the only possible result, so we have to do everything possible to make it happen," the head of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe is confident.
