The European Union plans to expand the list of sanctions against Russians. Officials of the aggressor country, who are involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children, will probably fall into it.

 This is reported by EUobserver.

According to the publication, the sanctions draft states that the restrictions will be imposed against the Minister of the Family of Bashkiria Lenara Ivanova, the Deputy Head of the Government of the Moscow Region Vyacheslav Dukhin and the Ombudsman Tetyana Moskalkova. They face visa bans and asset freezes for helping to organize mass abductions of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories of Ukraine.

EUobserver specifies that Ivanova was "one of the key persons involved in the forcible deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia and their subsequent illegal adoption by Russian families." Dukhin also facilitated the illegal adoption of Ukrainian children and tried to provide them with Russian citizenship.

At the same time, Moskalkova denied the existence of Russian filtration camps in territories not controlled by Ukraine, where from 900,000 to 1.6 million Ukrainian citizens, including thousands of children, were interrogated, detained and forcibly deported.

"The other 59 people on the new list are deputy ministers, deputies, senators, prosecutors, military commanders and propagandists, whose names are also known only to experts on Russia in the ministries of foreign affairs of the EU," the publication adds.

It is also planned to introduce restrictions against the Russian military, who are directly involved in war crimes against the civilian population, including in Buch, and are responsible for attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.
