Some Western politicians predict a "protracted war" in Ukraine. But this is not beneficial either to the world itself or to Ukrainians.
Oleksandr Zavitnevich, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, told about this in an interview with the mass media.
"Analysts who talk about a protracted war are starting to compare the available information. In my opinion, it is not beneficial for us and the world," Zavitnevich said.
He also noted that Russia certainly has plans for both mobilization and further military actions, but it is more important to concentrate efforts on the liberation of territories occupied by invaders.
It will be recalled that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently stated that Russia is preparing for a protracted war in Ukraine and warned of new offensives planned by dictator Vladimir Putin.
Meanwhile, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense also reported that Putin is preparing his population for a long-term war against Ukraine.
Because, as explained in the State Government, the Kremlin understood that the plan of "quick seizure of Ukraine" was not feasible. That is why Putin is now considering the option of a long war of attrition.
