Ukraine is satisfied with the results of the Ramstein Defense Contact Group meeting in Germany. In addition to the announced military aid, "some packages were announced behind closed doors."

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, announced this in an interview with "Voice of America".

According to him, at the meeting of the Contact Group, considerable attention was paid to the strengthening of air defense.

"This is a seriously developing issue, we talked at Ramstein not only about Patriot, but also about other systems. We are talking about short, medium and long-range action possibilities, the same applies to height," said Reznikov.

He noted that the key words at the meeting were the timeliness and urgency of providing assistance.

Also in an interview, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that a number of countries agreed to start training missions for the Ukrainian military to operate Leopard 2 tanks.

According to Reznikov, the agreement was reached thanks to "tank" initiatives - Poland regarding the Leopard and Britain regarding the Challenger.

"We have a breakthrough - it is an opportunity for the countries that own the Leopard to start training missions, courses for our tank crews. We will start with this, and then we will move on. I hope that Germany in a calm mode of conducting its own internal consultations will reach and to the decision on the possible transfer of tanks. I look at it optimistically. Because the first step has been taken: we will start training Ukrainian crews in Leopard 2 programs," the minister said.

For his part, US President Joe Biden commented on Poland's transfer of German-made Leopard 2 tanks.

 This is reported by CNN.

"Ukraine will receive all the necessary help," the US president said, answering a journalist's question about whether he supports Poland's intentions to send German-made tanks to Ukraine.

It should be noted that the day before, the eighth meeting on the defense of Ukraine was held at the "Ramstein" air base in Germany. Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov stated that offensive weapons and air defense remain a priority for Ukraine.

However, according to the results of the meeting, a joint decision was not made regarding the provision of German Leopard tanks to Ukraine. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said there were votes for and against the decision in Ramstein, but also promised to review the country's tank stocks.
