Lubynets: Ukraine handed Russia a list of 800 wounded prisoners for repatriation

Dmytro Lubynets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, announced that a list of 800 wounded Ukrainian soldiers will be handed over to the Russian Federation for repatriation. He announced this on the air of the telethon following the results of the third round of negotiations with the Ombudsman of the Russian Federation Tetyana Moskalkova.

Lubynets noted that during the discussion, the parties considered the Geneva Conventions and compared options in different languages. According to him, as a result, an agreement was reached on the transfer of severely wounded soldiers under the repatriation procedure - "without any conditions."

"This initiative was heard for the first time. And we handed over the list of servicemen of the Ukrainian army who, in our opinion, are wounded and seriously wounded. These are almost 800 of our wounded," the ombudsman said.

He also stated that representatives of the Russian Federation handed over a similar list to the Coordination Headquarters regarding the treatment of prisoners. At the same time, Lubynets called the support of the initiative by the Russian side a positive step.
