Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turkovic sent a letter of protest to the Prime Minister of Montenegro and the coordinator of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dritan Abazovic.
This is reported by the CDM portal.
The letter refers to the presence of Montenegrin Ministers of Justice and Finance, Marko Kovac and Oleksandr Damjanovic, at the separatist "Republic Day" in Republika Srpska.
"I send a protest to the government of Montenegro, a friendly and neighboring country. By the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, January 9 as RS Day is recognized as unconstitutional and discriminatory, and the presence of state officials harms the good-neighborly relations between our countries. The celebration of January 9 in Bosnia and Herzegovina violates the European Convention on protection of human rights and discriminates against representatives of the constituent nations of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the letter states.
As the minister noted, the presence of ministers from the current government of Montenegro at the celebration of an illegal holiday is an act of disrespect for the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"I would like to remind you that on January 9, 1992, there was an attack on the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a prelude to aggression, ethnic cleansing, mass crimes and genocide, which were condemned by international courts. The fact that the ministers of the government of the Black member "NATO has agreed to be present at the medal ceremony for Vladimir Putin, the president of the Russian Federation, which is carrying out aggression against Ukraine," the letter says.
As reported, the decision of the authorities of the Republika Srpska, which is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to present the order to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, was severely criticized in the European Union.
As part of the "Republic Day" celebration, the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik awarded Russian President Vladimir Putin in absentia with the highest award of the Republika Srpska for "developing and strengthening friendly ties between Russia and the RS."
As reported, Dodik, who promotes separatist politics in Bosnia, called for the unification of Serbs in one state.
