Over the course of a day, the enemy fired 281 shots in the Bakhmut direction, there were 43 combat clashes, and the situation remains under the control of Ukrainian forces, Serhiy Cherevy, spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said.
"A total of 281 shelling of positions and infrastructure, 43 combat clashes, 107 killed and 123 wounded occupiers took place in the Bakhmut direction of the front in a day," he said on the air of the telethon.
The speaker called this area the "hottest" on the front, where the enemy conducts the most aggressive actions and has concentrated the most combat-ready units, including the Wagner criminal group.
"It is really difficult there, but it is controlled by the Armed Forces," he added.
Cherevaty also noted that Soledar is actually destroyed, but there are still residents there.
"In the Luhansk region, the enemy is regrouping, there is a rotation of units, in particular those mobilized during the so-called partial mobilization. The enemy sometimes tries to counterattack our positions, in particular, this day in the area of Stelmakhivka and Chervonopivka settlements, but was hit by fire and pushed back, suffering losses," the Armed Forces reported.
According to the speaker, the intensity of hostilities in the Luhansk direction is slightly lower than in Donetsk region, but there are also battles and constant combat operations.
"If there is no direct confrontation with the enemy, it is systematically hit by our missile forces and artillery," he added.
