Damages caused to Ukraine's economy as a result of the war exceed $700 billion, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
"Together with the World Bank, we plan to conduct another verification of Ukraine's needs for the fastest possible recovery. Let me remind you that we have such a fixation at the beginning of June. At that time, the figure was $350 billion in damages. Taking into account the latest attacks on our infrastructure, today this amount is more than $700 billion," - said Shmyhal at the government meeting on Tuesday.
According to him, UAH 35.5 billion has been allocated in the state budget for the current year. for the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
"This is the construction and repair of public buildings, critical infrastructure facilities, providing housing for IDPs. We also expect to start reconstruction in the near future with the funds confiscated from Russian banks - there is already 17 billion UAH in a special account for this purpose. The first priority is the destroyed housing of people Shmyhal said.
