The Russian military is concentrating its efforts on offensive actions in three directions. They are also trying to improve their position in the Kupyan direction. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched 3 rocket attacks on civilian objects in the Zaporizhzhzhya region, and also carried out 10 shellings from multiple rocket launchers.
"The enemy is concentrating its efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Avdiiv directions and is trying to improve the tactical position in the Kupyan direction," the General Staff writes.
The situation in the directions:
the situation in the Volyn, Polis and Seversky directions has not changed significantly. The enemy maintains a military presence, but no signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected;
in the Slobozhansk direction, areas of the settlements of Guryev Kozachok, Kozacha Lopan, Kudiivka, Strilechtia, Ternova, Staritsa, Vovchansk, Nesterne, Zemlianka, Khatne and Komorne of the Kharkiv region were subjected to mortar and artillery shelling;
in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Novomlynsk, Kupyansk, Kislivka, Tabaivka, and Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka and Myasozharivka in the Luhansk region;
in the Lyman direction, the invaders inflicted fire damage on Makiivka, Chervonopivka, and Dibro in the Luhansk region, as well as in Terny in the Donetsk region.
in the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy fired from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Berestov, Vesele, Yakivlivka, Soledar, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Dosvidchene, Stupochki, Klischivka, Bila, Ozaranivka, Severny and New- York, Donetsk region;
Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region were shelled in the Avdiyiv direction;
in the Novopavlovsk direction, Vugledar, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka and Vremenka of the Donetsk region came under the fire of the occupiers;
in the Zaporizhzhya direction, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Malynivka, Chervone, Charivne, Biloghirya, Novodanilivka, Mali Shcherbaki and Stepove in the Zaporizhzhya region and Marganets and Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
in the Kherson direction, the enemy continues to terrorize the civilian population. The civil infrastructure of Chervonogrigorivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, Burgunka, Antonivka, and Kherson was affected by shelling. There are dead and wounded among peaceful Ukrainian citizens.
"The Russian occupiers imposed a 24-hour curfew in Gornostaivka, Kherson region, from December 25, 2022 to January 3, 2023. For almost 10 days, local residents are prohibited from leaving the premises and moving around the settlement," the press service of the General Staff writes.
During the day, our aviation made 3 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the Russians.
The gunners hit two areas of concentration of manpower and the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system of the occupiers.
