CNN on Saakashvili: "Putin poisoned him?"

The state of health of ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili was discussed in detail on the air of the American television company CNN. Saakashvili's American lawyer Massimo D'Angelo and the politician's son Eduard Saakashvili answered the channel's questions.

CNN calls Saakashvili "an old enemy of Putin" and points to the call of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi to send the politician to a foreign clinic for treatment.

The American lawyer Saakashvili reminded that in 2008 "Putin did to Georgia the same thing he is doing now to Ukraine" - "he invaded Georgia under the cover of night." D'Angelo says that Saakashvili in 2008, like Volodymyr Zelensky 14 years later, resisted Moscow, because of which he "became Putin's enemy."

The lawyer is sure that it was Putin who poisoned Saakashvili. According to him, poisoning is indicated by the results of the American examination, which revealed the presence of heavy metals in the politician's body.

An audio recording of Saakashvili's conversation with a lawyer was published on the air. The politician told D'Angelo that he was choked and beaten on the hands when they tried to remove his watch from his hand, and during the stage from the prison to the hospital he was "pulled, pushed, beaten" and "stepped on the neck."
