The Russian occupiers are trying to improve the tactical situation in the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions, and they are also not abandoning attempts to attack Donbas. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
During December 2, the Russians carried out 5 missile and 5 air strikes, as well as about 15 shelling from multiple rocket launchers, including nighttime shelling of the civilian infrastructure of the city of Marganets, Dnipropetrovsk region. In the afternoon, the occupiers shelled Chasoviya Yar in Donetsk region, there are victims among the civilian population.
At the same time, the threat of air and missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine remains.
The invaders continue to focus their efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmutsky and Avdiivskyi directions and do not stop trying to improve the tactical situation in the Kupyanskyi and Lymanskyi directions.
There are no significant changes in the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk, and Slobozhansk directions, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been recorded.
In the Slobozhansk direction, areas of Shevchenka, Strilka, Neskuchne, Ternova, Staritsa, Vovchansk, Volokhivka, Stroivka and Kupyansk of Kharkiv region came under tank, mortar and artillery fire.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians shelled the districts of Novomlinsky, Krokhmalny, and Berestovo in Kharkiv Oblast, and Novoselyvskyi and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast.
On the Lymanskyi direction, Makiivka, Maidanchyk, Krasnopopivka and Dibrova of the Luhansk region came under enemy fire.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the occupiers shelled Verkhnyokam'ane, Bilogorivka, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Oleksandro-Shultine, Kurdyumivka, Ozaranivka, and New York of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivsk direction, the areas of Kostyantynivka, Vodyane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region were hit by fire.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the invaders shelled the Vremivka, Velikay Novosilka, Nenudny, Vugledar, and Mykilsky districts of the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the Russians continue mortar and artillery shelling of civilian infrastructure along the right bank of the Dnipro. More than 25 settlements were damaged. Among them are Novopil of Donetsk region; Stepove, Gulyaipoli, Shcherbaki, Mala Tokmachka and Dorozhnyanka of the Zaporizhzhya region; Manganets in Dnipropetrovsk region and Novovodmitrivka, Kachkarivka, Kherson, Inzhenerne and Lviv in Kherson region. At night, the Russians also launched a rocket attack on the town of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region.
In addition, on December 20, the Defense Forces struck a concentration of enemy personnel in the Mykolaivka area of the Skadovsky district of the Kherson region. As a result, up to 140 soldiers of the Russian occupation forces were hit and 8 Kamaz trucks with ammunition were destroyed.
According to detailed information, as a result of the defeat of the enemy's field airfield on December 20 in the Kakhovka district of the Kherson region, the occupiers lost up to 150 people killed and about 50 wounded. Up to 20 units of military equipment of various types were destroyed.
On December 22, units of missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit the control post, 2 ammunition warehouses and 3 areas where Russian manpower was concentrated.
