The Russian occupiers suffer significant losses at the front and intensify counter-intelligence measures in temporarily occupied settlements. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On December 21, the Russians launched three missile strikes and an airstrike against civilian objects in the Zaporizhzhya region. In Gulyaipol, enemy aircraft cynically hit the city hospital. In addition, the occupiers fired more than 20 rounds of anti-aircraft fire.
The invaders continue to focus their efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions and try to improve the tactical position in the Kupyan and Lyman directions.
There are no significant changes in the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, and no signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected either. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus and the Russian Federation will continue to be located in the border areas with Ukraine.
In the Slobozhansk direction, the areas of Chervona Zorya, Kozacha Lopan, Vesele, Varvarivka, Staritsa, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Chernyakiv, Chavunivka and Ambarne settlements of the Kharkiv region came under tank, mortar and artillery shelling.
In the Kupyansk direction, a fire was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Novomlynsk, Kupyansk, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Krokhmalne and Berestov in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, the Russians do not stop shelling the districts of Makiivka, Maidanchyk, Chervonpopivka, and Dibrova in the Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the areas of Verkhnokamyane, Spirne, Bilogorivka, Yakivlivka, Soledar, Pidgorodne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Oleksandro-Shultino, Kurdyumivka, Diliivka, Ozaranivka, Druzhba, Severnivka were affected by fire.
In the Avdiyiv direction, the occupiers shelled Vodyan, Pershotravneve, Nevelske, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.
In the direction of Novopavlivsk, the invaders fired tanks and artillery at the areas of Vugledar, Prechistivka, Novoukrainka, and Velikay Novosilka of the Donetsk region.
On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the settlement of Krasnogrihorivka of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the suburbs and the city of Kherson, and the city of Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region were shelled by rocket and barrel artillery. Civilians were injured in these settlements.
In addition, on December 15 and 16, enemy ammunition depots in the Kadiivka district of Luhansk region were confirmed to have been defeated by fire. Detonation in warehouses lasted more than 20 hours.
The General Staff reports that the invaders have organized a field hospital in the village of Novobohdanivka, Zaporizhzhya region. In Novotroitsky, Kherson Region, the enemy converted a local hospital to treat their wounded. At the same time, sick local residents were forcibly "discharged". In the same settlement, the Russians intensified counter-intelligence measures. All this indicates significant enemy losses.
Meanwhile, on December 21, the Ukrainian aviation carried out 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy. Also, our fighters shot down a Russian drone of the "Forpost" type, which is worth about 6 million dollars.
Units of the missile forces and artillery of the defense forces also hit the command post and two areas of concentration of Russian manpower.
