Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that it is necessary to prepare for new attacks by the Russian Federation on the energy system. After all, the occupiers will do everything to leave Ukrainians without electricity until the New Year holidays.

"Russian terrorists will do everything to leave Ukrainians without electricity until the New Year. It is important for them that Christmas and the New Year in Ukraine pass in darkness. Therefore, we must prepare for new attacks," said Shmyhal.

According to him, in conditions where the power system is hit almost every day, it is simply impossible to make predictions about the restoration of stable power supply.

The prime minister also added that local authorities should not create inflated expectations either. After all, in parallel with the attack on our energy industry, Russia is conducting information and psychological operations to sow panic and despair.

"That's why we tell people the truth that the situation is difficult; that the light may be only a few hours a day; that the state of affairs in the power system may either improve or worsen depending on the intensity and mass of new attacks by the Russians Shmyhal noted.
