The Ministry of Defense of Russia has announced a joint naval exercise with China at the end of 2022.
This is reported by Reuters.
The exercises will take place on December 21-27 in the East China Sea, including missile launches and artillery fire. Such maneuvers have been held every year since 2012.
The goal is called "strengthening cooperation between Russia and China and maintaining peace and stability in the Pacific region."
On the Russian side, four ships will participate, including the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, the Varyag missile cruiser, and six Chinese ships, as well as planes and helicopters. On Monday, the Russian ships, which are going on training, left Vladivostok.
