Hospitals in 8 regions remain without power due to shelling - Ministry of Health

Medical institutions in eight regions of Ukraine remain without power due to shelling, clinics operate on generators. As reported by the Ministry of Health, a part of hospitals in Kherson, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv and Kyiv regions remain without power.

 In addition, several medical institutions in the capital remain without centralized power supply.

 At the same time, the Ministry of Health clarifies that in these regions in hospitals, critical equipment, operating rooms and intensive care units are powered by electric generators.

 Currently, Ukrainian hospitals have more than 3,000 generators of various capacities, which make it possible to cover the minimum need for electricity. The fuel reserve for the operation of generators is not less than 5 days.

 More than 2,000 generators are planned to be delivered to hospitals in the near future.

 "Each hospital that has a contract with the National Health Service has at least one generator, which allows to cover the minimum need for electricity and provides electricity in the operating room and intensive care unit," - reports the Ministry of Health with reference to the Deputy Minister of Health Bohdan Borukhovskyi.

 He also reported that more than 1,000 Starlink stations are currently installed in hospitals.
