Ukraine needs Patriot and other air defense systems to protect against constant Russian strikes. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, the Associated Press reports.
The Prime Minister appealed for the transfer of modern air defense systems after the Russian occupiers attacked Hirnyk (Donetsk region), as a result of which two people were killed and ten more were injured.
According to Shmygal, with the help of its attacks on the infrastructure of Ukraine, Russia intends to cause a new wave of refugees to Europe.
He also noted that Ukraine needs a large number of shells to counter Russian artillery on an equal footing.
"Russia releases 50,000 to 70,000 projectiles per day at Ukrainian targets, and we need at least a third of this amount every day," the head of government emphasized.
