With the support of other owners of the Patriot system, the Netherlands intends to assemble and transfer the main components of this system to Ukraine in the short term. To achieve this goal, Amsterdam plans to use the main components from its own reserves and ask other European countries to provide additional components. This was reported by the press service of the Dutch Ministry of Defense.


Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren calls on other participating countries to take part in this project, emphasizing negotiations on the assembly of the Patriot system and training of Ukrainian crews.


She emphasized that with sufficient support from other potential partners, it would be possible to provide Ukraine with at least one complete system in the short term.


The minister also noted that the Dutch government understands the need for the Patriot system for Ukraine, especially in the context of the escalating situation, given the regular attacks on military facilities and critical infrastructure.


The Netherlands wants the Patriot system to be implemented in Ukraine as soon as possible.
