State Special Communications: in the event of a blackout in Ukraine, TV, radio and mobile communications will work for another three days

In case of a complete blackout in Ukraine, television, radio and mobile communication will work for at least three more days. This was announced on the air of the telethon by the head of the State Special Forces Yuriy Shchygol.

"Today, five radio companies in Ukraine are reserved for up to three days. The same goes for television channels: telethon - the signal supply is also reserved for three days. Then it depends on fuel delivery," he said.

According to the manager, TV channels and radio stations will work on medium waves and in the FM range.

Shchygol also reported that 82% of mobile base stations are working in Ukraine now, while about 45% were not functioning after the massive missile attack. In addition, such stations are being restored in Luhansk and Kherson regions.

The head of the State Special Communications Service noted that it is not possible to provide every base station with generators, while most of them are reserved with batteries.

"… But when the power goes out, everyone from WiFi networks that are also down go to the base station, and where there is a two-hour backup, it works for half an hour," he explained.

Shchygol also said that now all operators are working on reserving critical points for at least three days, in particular, networks are brought up to "Points of unbreakability".
