According to the visual signs of the debris, the missile that fell on the territory of Poland on November 15 during the massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine could be an Kh-101 cruise missile.
This was reported by Polsat News correspondent Mateusz Lyakhovsky after talking to two military experts.
Lyakhovsky said that one of his sources is a specialist in military affairs who is not from Ukraine or Poland, and the second is an expert connected with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. They expressed their assessments after reviewing the photo of the rocket wreckage, which was found at the site of the explosion, available in the media.
The journalist adds that the Kh-101 has already been used many times by Russia for missile attacks against Ukraine and was among the missiles used on November 15. He also noted that within 15 km from Pshevodovo on the territory of Ukraine, there are objects that Russia could have chosen as the targets of the strike.
"Currently, an expert group of the Polish military continues to work on the spot. They will definitely determine what type of missile it was and which country launched it," Lyakhovsky noted.
As you know, in the afternoon on Tuesday, Russia launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, a rocket fell in the border village of Poland, as a result of which two people died. In Poland, the Committee of the Council of Ministers on National Security and Defense was urgently convened, at which they decided to increase the combat capability of some units and consider the possibility of using Article 4 of the NATO Treaty.
The President of Poland Andrzej Duda said in an address on Wednesday night that Warsaw does not have accurate information about who exactly launched the missile that fell on Polish territory, and confirmed that it was Russian-made. Poland invited international experts to investigate the explosions.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia claims that it "has nothing to do" with the incident.
