Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal declares that during the full-scale war, more than 400 objects of critical infrastructure in the field of electricity and heat supply were affected.

"Tonight showed again that we are still under the constant threat of Russian terrorist attacks. In total, during the full-scale war, more than 400 critical infrastructure objects in the field of electricity and heat supply were hit. In most cases, these are boiler houses," Shmyhal said at the meeting government Friday

According to him, the most damage is in Kharkiv, Kyiv and Donetsk regions.

"Terrorists also disabled a number of TPP and CHP power units. We are trying to restore everything at a fast pace. Work is going on 24/7," the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal also said that the second pressing topic is the state of the Ukrainian energy industry.

"Over the past five weeks, dozens of Ukrenergo substations and more than 10 generation facilities have been fired upon. Some several times... More than UAH 2.5 billion is needed to restore the generation of damaged TPPs and CHPs. To put the facilities into operation operators of the electricity distribution system, according to the most modest estimates, about UAH 5 billion should be sent," he said.

In this regard, the prime minister stated that the planned disconnection of consumers from electricity will be continued.

"From October 10 to 31, they affected more than 9 million people. This is a forced measure necessary to preserve the integrity of our energy system and protect it from overloads. As in previous weeks, conscious consumption of electricity by Ukrainians, especially during peak hours, will help energy workers. This is the contribution of each of us to energy sustainability," he added.

Among other things, Shmyhal said that comprehensive measures are being taken to protect the energy infrastructure in each region, and the air defense is being strengthened.
