The President of Israel explained why he cannot provide Ukraine with air defense

There are restrictions that prevent Israel from transferring some air defense systems to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression. Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog said this in a comment to CNN on October 26.

In response to criticism of Jerusalem's stance on arms supplies, he said the US and Europe had also refused to provide Kyiv with some military equipment. According to him, Israel's policy is dictated by the preservation of national security interests.

"There are weapons we don't even have an export version for. There are things we don't want to get into the hands of our enemies. There are secrets we can't reveal. But wherever we can help, we try to help." said Herzog.

He noted that the country's authorities are "analyzing the situation", including information about Russia's use of Iranian-made drones in the conflict. The president said that he "does not have specific information about such an agreement." But, in his opinion, no additional evidence is needed to demonstrate that Iran poses a danger to "world order and stability."
