Israel has captured the Rafah crossing, which separates the Gaza Strip from Egypt. This is reported by The Times of Israel.
The checkpoint has not been controlled by Israel since 2005 and was the only land point through which Gaza's Palestinians were connected to the outside world, bypassing Israel.

Also at night, it became known that the Israeli military cabinet unanimously decided to conduct an operation in Rafah in order to put pressure on Hamas in the matter of releasing the hostages. During the night, the Israeli Air Force struck more than 50 targets in Rafah.
As a reminder, the USA and the West opposed Israel's operation in Rafah.
