At a meeting on October 17, the ministers of foreign affairs of the European Union decided to create a training military mission for Ukraine.
This was reported by Rikard Jozwiak, the editor of "Radio Liberty" on European issues, on his Twitter.
"The ministers of foreign affairs of the EU have approved a military training mission for Ukraine. It should train up to 15,000 soldiers on the territory of the EU," Jozvyak said.
He added that the mission should begin work in mid-November.
Previously, it was unofficially reported that the headquarters of the mission could be located in Poland and Germany. Subsequently, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, confirmed that Poland will be one of the countries on whose territory the Ukrainian military will train as part of the newly created EU training mission.
