Ukraine received 1.3 billion dollars of additional emergency financing from the International Monetary Fund. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported this on Telegram.

"USD 1.3 billion of additional emergency financing from the International Monetary Fund has arrived in Ukraine," Shmyhal wrote.

According to the Prime Minister, the money will be used to strengthen defense capabilities, pay pensions, social programs and support the economy.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the IMF has provided Ukraine with 2.7 billion dollars. Shmyhal noted that in the near future, Ukraine and the IMF will begin preparations for a new special program that will begin next year.

On October 12, the European Investment Bank transferred an additional 550 million euros to Ukraine, which will be used to repair energy infrastructure damaged by missile strikes.
