The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant seized by the Russian military is "completely out of control. At present, communication with the workers is unstable. This was reported by Sky News.
According to Director General of the IAEA Raphael Grossi, the situation is becoming more dangerous by the day. He also called on Russia and Ukraine to allow experts to visit the complex to prevent a nuclear accident.

He pointed to active shelling near the nuclear power plant at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
Grossi also stressed that the nuclear power plant is currently controlled by Russia, but Ukrainian personnel remain at the plant, leading to conflicts and alleged violence.
Despite this, the IAEA has some contact with the personnel, but it is "unequal" and "unequal."
The director general pointed out that the supply chain of equipment and spare parts to the nuclear power plant has been interrupted, so "we are not sure that the plant is getting everything it needs.
