The EU ambassador to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas, expects to appoint a new head of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office after the appointment of Andriy Kostin as Ukraine's new Prosecutor General. Maasikas wrote about it on Wednesday in his Twitter.
The diplomat congratulated Kostin on his appointment as Ukraine's Prosecutor General, noting that he had worked closely with the EU mission in Ukraine on justice reform.
"We will continue to cooperate in the investigation of Russian war crimes. And, I look forward to the appointment of the head of the SAP soon," Maasikas added.

It should be noted that in order to retain its candidate status, Kyiv must complete the appointment of the already elected head of the SAP and hold a competition for the head of the NABU.
