British defense secretary condemned countries trying to stay out of the war in Ukraine

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace condemned those who chose to "sit on the fence" with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Wallace, who visited Bratislava on Monday, made these comments during a joint conference with Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nadj in Bratislava, The Guardian reported.

"If you sit on the fence with President Putin, he will eventually eat the fence and then eat you."

As a reminder, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called for a new EU strategy regarding Russia's war against Ukraine, saying sanctions have failed and Ukraine will never win.

The Hungarian prime minister also hinted that a Russian attack on Ukraine could have been avoided and that he sees it as the fault of Western allies who did not go along with Putin's demands against the interests of Ukraine.

Previously, Orban has repeatedly stated that Hungary does not want to be involved in a war in Ukraine.
