Former UK Defense Minister calls to give Ukraine the necessary support for victory

Ben Wallace, the former British Secretary of Defense, expressed his belief in Ukraine's victory and called on Western allies to provide the necessary weapons in time to achieve this success. This was reported by the British edition of The Telegraph.

The former minister recalled how, before the outbreak of a full-scale war, analysts and governments in the West underestimated Ukraine's readiness and ability to defend itself. Now they are questioning Ukraine's chances of success after a difficult start to the counteroffensive.

Wallace drew parallels between the morale of the British at the beginning of World War II and the way Ukrainians have surprised the world during the current war.

"Since the beginning of the summer, Ukrainians have been learning on the fly again. Their forces are adapting their tactics, learning lessons and making the most of the weapons we have donated. They are taking British weapons and demonstrating much greater success than expected," said Ben Wallace.

Wallace noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are slowly but surely advancing through the Russian defense lines. He called for more support for Ukraine in the battle, including more shells and modern weapons.

Wallace believes that the war against Russia can be won, and the Kremlin is already losing. He emphasized the need to support Ukraine and the fact that the Russian army is suffering significant losses.

"Let's not stop for a day... The world is watching to see if the West has the determination to stand up for our values and the rules-based system of international order. What we do now for Ukraine will determine the security situation for all of us for many years to come," Wallace emphasizes.
